The “Refreshful SilkWool Jacket” is a versatile, reversible, all-season jacket with light insulation, ideal for high-intensity activities.
The natural SilkWool insulation optimally regulates moisture and temperature. It keeps you pleasantly warm and dry even in high humidity, ensuring comfort across a wide temperature range. - Filling : SilkWool made from 50% European wool, 30% recycled Italian silk, 20% PLA sugar starch; fill weight 80 g/m²

- Material composition : Cover 100% polyamide, filling 50% wool/30% silk/20% polylactide; contains non-textile parts of animal origin.

WHAT IS SILKWOOL?
The natural insulation made from 30% recycled silk and 50% wool from the Alps offers an exceptional wearing climate.
- Silk: wicks moisture away from the inside of the jacket to the outside very quickly.
- Wool: balances body temperature fluctuations like a gentle, natural air conditioner and provides warmth even when damp. Wool is also antibacterial and neutralizes unpleasant sweat odors.
The result: A jacket with a very wide comfort temperature range, in which you neither sweat nor get cold. In addition, SilkWool ensures excellent moisture management during sporting activities all year round.

“Besides everyday use, I was able to test the jacket on two spring ski tours and several high-altitude tours in the Eastern Alps. The jacket proved its worth even in strong winds and temperatures as low as -12 degrees Celsius. The highest tour reached 3,770 meters. As an active mountain guide, I usually demand the highest standards from my equipment, in addition to technical details like functionality, fit, and durability. And this is where your jacket truly shines with its unique feature. None of my other insulated jackets, whether made of wool or synthetic fibers, can match the comfort of this silk-wool blend. This applies both during activity and as pure insulation in cold weather. Admittedly, the pack size is a compromise, but this is compensated for by the detachable hood, which offers greater versatility. I would tweak the sporty look with a few quilted seams, a bit of flair, and an adjustment to the sizing. However, even for me, these minor drawbacks don't outweigh the outstanding climate control. I'm happy to recommend this jacket to my clients.”

“I wore this fine jacket on an alpine multi-pitch climb in the Rätikon mountains at an altitude of 2300-2800m. I wore it over a long-sleeved wool shirt. The weather was sunny and mild (just under 10°C at 2500m), crisp and autumnal in the morning, with gusty, cold winds higher up, and there was already snow on the ground. It did what it was supposed to: provide moderate insulation while regulating moisture. I didn't sweat too much while climbing, and it didn't get clammy while belaying. The outer fabric seems quite robust: no tears despite the very rough limestone. I like the cut – relatively fitted, long enough, and not baggy. The external chest pocket is handy for my phone, the waist pockets are inaccessible with a harness, but you don't really want to be. The hood is practical with its zipper, but it's not helmet-compatible. Apart from that, the jacket seems quite well-suited for the cool and cold seasons.”

CARE
Wash
- The washing instructions are located in a small pocket sewn into the back seam on the inside of the jacket.
- The jacket can be hand-washed with a wool detergent at a maximum temperature of 30°C/86°F. Please turn inside out, close the zipper, and perform an additional rinse cycle.
- Do not use fabric softener and only wring out lightly at the end.
Dry
- On sunny days, the jacket can be laid on a drying rack so that air can circulate around it from above and below. Please allow the jacket to dry completely.
Tip
- Airing this jacket is better than washing it. Wool jackets rarely need washing because wool has natural odor-resistant and dirt-repellent properties. For small, external stains, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (like this). Heavily soiled or greasy jackets can be hand-washed.
