The “Refreshful SilkWool Jacket” is a light and versatile women's jacket for sporting activities such as trekking, biking and also in everyday life on cool spring, summer and autumn days. It can be worn very well as an insulating midlayer under a waterproof functional jacket. Thanks to its advantageous quilting and design, it also cuts a fine figure worn alone on the mountain for spring and autumn tours, on the rock or as a fashionable transitional jacket in the city.
With Grüezi bag® jackets, the focus is on the best wearing comfort: namely an evenly pleasant feel-good climate in the jacket, a comfortable cut that ensures sufficient freedom of movement, light weight and a small pack size.
The special thing about the jacket is the innovative insulation: you quickly feel in a SilkWool jacket that you are not getting too cold or too warm. It creates a dry body climate and compensates for temperature fluctuations on the way from the office to the city to the bus to the mountain. The combination is perfect and offers significant advantages over pure down or wool jackets and especially synthetic fiber jackets .
The “Refreshful SilkWool Jacket” for women is multifunctional, light, packable, very robust and equipped with many technical features:

HOW THE UNIQUE SILKWOOL INSULATION WORKS
The natural insulation made from 30% recycled silk and 50% wool from the Alps offers an exceptional wearing climate. Silk transports moisture very quickly from the inside of the jacket to the outside. Wool keeps you warm even when damp, is antibacterial and neutralizes unpleasant sweat odors. The result is good insulation and a pleasant feel-good climate in the jacket. This means that the jacket has a greater comfort zone from cooler spring to summer days.

CARE
Wash
- The washing instructions are in the inside pocket of the jacket.
- The jacket can be washed by hand with a wool detergent at a maximum of 30 °C/86 °F. Please turn inside out, close the zipper and carry out an additional rinse cycle.
- Do not use fabric softener and just wring it out lightly at the end.
dry
- On sunny days, the jacket can be placed on a drying rack so that air can reach the jacket from above and below. Please allow the jacket to dry out for a long time.
Tip:
- Airing this jacket is better than washing. Wool jackets rarely need to be washed because wool itself has natural odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent properties. If there is small external dirt, we recommend that you only gently clean the stain itself (see above); greasy and extensively soiled jackets can be washed by hand.

The jacket proved its worth even in strong winds and temperatures as low as -12 degrees Celsius. The highest tour reached 3,770 meters. As an active mountain guide, I usually demand the highest standards from my equipment, in addition to technical details like functionality, fit, and durability. And this is where your jacket truly shines with its unique feature. None of my other insulated jackets, whether made of wool or synthetic fibers, can match the comfort of this silk-wool blend. This applies both during activity and as pure insulation in cold weather. Admittedly, the pack size is a compromise, but this is compensated for by the detachable hood, which offers greater versatility. I would tweak the sporty look with a few quilted seams, a bit of flair, and an adjustment to the sizing. However, even for me, these minor drawbacks don't outweigh the outstanding climate control. I'm happy to recommend this jacket to my clients.”

“I wore this fine jacket on an alpine multi-pitch climb in the Rätikon mountains at an altitude of 2300-2800m. I wore it over a long-sleeved wool shirt. The weather was sunny and mild (just under 10°C at 2500m), crisp and autumnal in the morning, with gusty, cold winds higher up, and there was already snow on the ground. It did what it was supposed to: provide moderate insulation while regulating moisture. I didn't sweat too much while climbing, and it didn't get clammy while belaying. The outer fabric seems quite robust: no tears despite the very rough limestone. I like the cut – relatively fitted, long enough, and not baggy. The external chest pocket is handy for my phone, the waist pockets are inaccessible with a harness, but you don't really want to be. The hood is practical with its zipper, but it's not helmet-compatible. Apart from that, the jacket seems quite well-suited for the cool and cold seasons.”

Wash

- The jacket can be hand-washed with a wool detergent at a maximum temperature of 30°C/86°F. Please turn inside out, close the zipper, and perform an additional rinse cycle.

Dry
- On sunny days, the jacket can be laid on a drying rack so that air can circulate around it from above and below. Please allow the jacket to dry completely.
Tip
