Lightweight summer duvet with high sleeping comfort thanks to DownWool® filling
The innovative DownWool® duvet is a dream to sleep in. The sustainable blend of high-quality, RDS-certified down and wool is naturally temperature-regulating and provides optimal warmth while remaining pleasantly lightweight.
The antibacterial wool filling ensures an incomparably dry and warm sleeping environment. Even in high humidity – whether from the air, perspiration, or condensation – the wool content keeps you reliably warm without overheating. The sophisticated chamber construction guarantees an even distribution of the filling and allows the blanket to lie comfortably against the body.
Grüezi bag® blankets offer the best sleeping comfort
Grüezi bag's DownWool® products have received multiple awards for their excellent balancing insulation.
- Wider temperature range : DownWool® duvets offer a wider temperature range in which you feel comfortable. Wool balances temperature fluctuations like a gentle, natural air conditioner. This means the duvet can be used even in warmer temperatures without overheating.
- A drier sleeping environment: The blend of 70% RDS-certified down and 30% Alpine wool in DownWool® duvets creates a dry, balanced sleeping climate. Wool effectively wicks moisture away and provides warmth even when damp . Ideal for people who tend to sweat or suffer from hot flashes.
-
Best sleep quality: Longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night – this is possible thanks to the wool content in the DownWool® insulation filling.
- Skin-friendly outer fabric made of high-quality organic cotton : The cover feels incredibly soft and gentle on the skin.
-
Antibacterial: Thanks to the wool in DownWool®
- Suitable for allergy sufferers: Thanks to the down-proof woven outer fabric, the blanket is also recommended for people with dust mite allergies.
- Construction : The sophisticated chamber system prevents the filling from shifting, ensuring it remains evenly distributed over the long term. The blanket adapts perfectly to the body's shape, resulting in a pleasantly light feel.
- No thermal bridges : The chambers are sewn together with a bridge.
- Waterbeds: DownWool® blankets are also suitable for this purpose.
- The blanket is washable.

The duvet, with its smaller chambers, adapts perfectly to the body shape, even for small children. This ensures the entire body is evenly enveloped, providing a wonderful feeling of security despite the luxurious lightness of the duvet.
WHAT IS DOWNWOOL®?
What makes this ceiling special is its innovative insulation: Under a DownWool® ceiling, you immediately feel the wide temperature comfort range, where it's neither too cold nor too warm. Furthermore, the insulation is naturally less sensitive to high humidity.
This is achieved through the innovative blend of 70% RDS-certified animal welfare down and 30% wool from the Alps. This patented combination acts like a lightweight and natural air conditioner.
Down: excellent insulation performance
- High-quality down provides exceptional insulation at a low weight. However, down clumps together in high humidity (air, sweat, condensation) and loses its insulating properties. Grüezi bag solves this problem with its innovative DownWool® insulation.
- The down content makes the blanket cuddly warm and airy light.
Wool: effective moisture and temperature regulation
- Thanks to the addition of wool in DownWool®, the down stays naturally drier and thus retains its insulating properties. This is because wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture through its capillaries and release it gradually to the outside.
- DownWool® retains its insulating properties at humidity levels up to 90%. The wool fibers stand upright when exposed to moisture, increasing the insulating loft by up to 30%, further improving thermal performance.
- DownWool® not only effectively regulates moisture but also body temperature. Wool prevents evaporative cooling and retains its warming properties even when damp, a feat unmatched by any other material. Thanks to its unique temperature-regulating properties, wool naturally creates a comfortable microclimate. Therefore, the duvet remains pleasant even in warmer temperatures and does not overheat.
- Furthermore, wool neutralizes unpleasant odors.
- Sleep quality (longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night) increases thanks to the wool content in the DownWool® insulation filling.
- More sleep, more energy: The body needs a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process thanks to its excellent temperature-regulating properties.
The result : excellent insulation and a wide temperature range in which you feel comfortable and can sleep well.

CARE
Wash
- The comforter can be washed with a down detergent at a maximum temperature of 30°C/86°F in a large washing machine on the wool cycle. Please perform an additional rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
- Remove the items from the machine, loosen them up a bit, and perform another spin cycle at a maximum of 600 revolutions.
Dry
- Tumble dry at max. 60 °C/ 140 °F and be sure to add 2-3 tennis balls for better fluffing.
- Please perform several drying cycles, removing the item from the machine after each cycle, shaking or loosening it well, and allowing it to cool down in between.
- The dryer must be set to a timer program to dry the down completely.
- If a dryer is not used, the blanket can be placed on a clothes drying rack on sunny days and shaken frequently to allow air to reach the blanket from above and below.
When is the drying process complete?
- If the item still does not have its original thickness, the drying process must be repeated until the blanket feels more filled than before.
- Depending on the amount of contents, the drying process can take different amounts of time (at least 2 days, depending on the dryer model).
-
The down must be completely dry. If the comforter hasn't been properly dried and fluffed, the down feathers may clump together, which can irreparably damage the comforter. You can tell the product is completely dry because it will feel fuller and thicker than before. Damp down can have an unpleasant odor, but this will disappear after drying.
TIP
- Down comforters should be dried in the tumble dryer with tennis balls from time to time to remove excess moisture.
- Airing a down comforter is better than washing it. DownWool® comforters rarely need washing because wool itself has natural odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent properties. For small, external stains, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself; heavily soiled comforters can be machine washed.
