- The wool filling is insensitive to moisture, even on a boat or near water, the wool insulation remains stable.
- The mummy sleeping bag has an innovative zipper that allows you to comfortably place your feet on the top of the sleeping bag if it gets too warm.
- Additional ventilation in the foot area protected by a mosquito net.
- 3D mosquito net (removable) in the head area can be retrofitted. Perfect for regions with lots of insects.
- A small but nice detail is the pillow compartment. A fleece jacket can be inserted here and you have a non-slip pillow.
- What is unique about AlmWolle sleeping bags is their innovative insulation: AlmWolle is a light insulation fleece made from 85% sheep's wool and 15% corn starch. With the AlmWolle insulation, Grüezi bag® invented the world's first light wool sleeping bag.
HOW THE UNIQUE ALM WOOL INSULATION WORKS
The lavalan® alpine wool used in the Grüezi bag® products creates an excellent feel-good climate: it supports our body temperature regulation. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture via its capillaries and release it back to the outside in a measured amount - so that no evaporative cooling occurs. This not only ensures effective moisture regulation, but also body temperature regulation. Even when wet, it retains its warming properties, something no other material can do. Wool naturally creates a cozy and pleasant microclimate thanks to its unique climate-balancing properties. The wool also neutralizes unpleasant sweat odors.
With AlmWolle insulation, the body can save itself some of the energy-consuming work of regulating body temperature. The energy saved is available for regeneration while you sleep!
Grüezi bag uses wool from sheep from the Alpine region for its fillings in the Biopod product line: robust, natural, biodegradable and renewable.

Adjustable hood with face baffle : The heat bead adapts perfectly to the shape of your head. When it's cold, only a small face hole remains open and therefore there is less loss of temperature in the face.

CARE
Wash
- The washing instructions are in the inside pocket of the sleeping bag.
- The sleeping bag can be washed with a wool detergent (without protease) at a maximum of 30 °C/86 °F by hand or in the washing machine on the wool cycle. Please turn inside out, close the zipper, do an additional rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
- Take the item out of the machine, loosen it up a little and then just spin it lightly at the end (max. 600 revolutions)!
dry
- On sunny days, the sleeping bag can be placed on a drying rack so that air can reach the sleeping bag from above and below. Please allow the sleeping bag to dry out for a long time.
Tip:
- When the sleeping bag is unpacked for the first time, it needs some time until it becomes fluffy. If you iron the sleeping bag loosely with a steam iron on a silk setting before using it for the first time, the wool will open more quickly and it can then regulate the climate better.
- All sleeping bags should be dried from time to time or after each tour to remove excess moisture.
- Sleeping bags must be stored open and dry in the storage bag. A discarded pillowcase can also be used as a storage bag.
- When packing into the compression bag, the sleeping bag must be stuffed foot part first, not rolled or folded.
- Airing a sleeping bag is better than washing. Wool sleeping bags rarely need to be washed because wool itself has natural odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent properties. If there is small external dirt, we recommend that you only gently clean the stain itself (see above); greasy and extensively soiled sleeping bags can be washed in the washing machine.
