WHAT IS ALM WOOL?
What makes this blanket special is its innovative lavalan® Alpine wool insulation. The insulation consists of a lightweight wool fleece from sheep in the Alpine region: robust, natural, biodegradable and renewable.
With a wool blanket, you immediately notice the wide temperature comfort range, where you'll never be too cold or too hot. Furthermore, the insulation is naturally resistant to high humidity, resulting in a naturally dry and balanced sleeping climate inside a wool blanket.
- Effective temperature and moisture regulation: Wool balances out temperature fluctuations. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture and releases it gradually to the outside. This natural regulation creates a warming or cooling effect without the cooling effect of evaporative cooling.
- It insulates even in very high humidity: Wool wicks away sweat and retains its warming properties even when damp, something no other material can do. This means it provides excellent insulation even in very high humidity, offering high thermal performance in cold, wet weather.
- Dries very quickly: Wool insulation dries very quickly and can therefore be used directly on rivers, on boats, in the tropics even at over 100% humidity.
- Neutralizes unpleasant odors: Wool has antibacterial properties and thus naturally neutralizes unpleasant odors.
- Sleep quality: Longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night increase thanks to the wool filling.
- More sleep, more energy : The body needs a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process thanks to its excellent temperature-regulating properties.

CARE
- The blanket can be washed by hand or in a large washing machine on the wool cycle using a wool detergent (without protease) at a maximum temperature of 30°C/86°F. An additional rinse cycle is required, and do not use fabric softener.
Dry
On sunny days, the blanket can be placed on a clothes drying rack so that air can circulate around it from above and below. Please allow it to dry completely.
Tip
- When the blanket is first unpacked, it needs some time to become fluffy. Ironing the blanket lightly with a steam iron on the silk setting before first use will help the wool fluff up more quickly and improve its breathability.
- Airing a wool blanket is better than washing it. They only need to be washed rarely, as wool has natural odor-resistant and dirt-repellent properties. For small external stains, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (like this). Heavily soiled or greasy sleeping bags can be washed in a large washing machine.
